RESOLUTION NO. 3
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
DOWNEY ACCEPTING A GRANT DEED AND DIRECTING THE
RECORDATION THEREOF
0,.% THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The fee title conveyed by that certain grant
deed executed by the Downey City School District, under date of
October 10, 1958, conveying to the City of Downey the property
therein particularly described as follows:
Block 16 of the Tract of the Downey Land Association, in
the City of Downey, County of Los Angeles, State of Cali-
fornia, as per map recorded in Book 2 Page 434 of Miscel-
laneous Records, in the office of the County Recorder of
said County. ALSO the south west 30 feet of that portion
of Third Street, 60 feet wide, as shown on said map lying
between the northeasterly prolongation of the northwest
and southeast lines of said Block 16.
EXCEPT that portion of said Block 16, described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the southeast line of said Block 16,
distant thereon North 32 East 224.00 feet from the
most southerly corner of said Block; thence along the south -
east and southwest lines of said Block, South 32°47'20"
West 224.00 feet and North 57 West 157.00 feet;
thence North 46 East 175.00 feet; thence North
76 East 52.39 feet; thence North 46 East 38.28
feet; thence South 57 East 56.00 feet to the point of
beginning.
hereby is accepted.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk hereby is authorized and directed
to execute a certificate of acceptance in substantially the form pre -
scribed by Section 27281 of the Government Code and to cause the said
grant deed and said certificate to be filed for record in the office
of the County Recorder of the County of Los Angeles.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
' of this resolution.
