COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF DOWNEY
REGULAR MEETING
JUNE 28, 2011
The Community Development Commission of the City of Downey held a Regular
Meeting at 7:39 p.m., June 28, 2011, in the Council Chamber of the Downey City Hall,
11111 Brookshire Avenue, Downey, California, Chairperson Luis H. Marquez presiding.

CONSENT CALENDAR:
Commissioner Vasquez advised he would be abstaining from Items 4 and 5, as
his former employer may be in a position to receive funding from these items.
It was moved by Commissioner Guerra, seconded by Commissioner Gafin, and
approve the Consent Calendar
unanimously carried to items as recommended, with
Commissioner Vasquez abstaining from Items 4 and 5:

3. APPROVED AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE DOWNEY COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION AND COMMUNITY ARTS RESOURCES IN
THE AMOUNT OF $65,000 FOR EVENT PLANNING SERVICES (2011 TASTE
OF DOWNEY):
Community Development.
4. APPROVED AMENDMENT TO REDEVELOPMENT COOPERATION
AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF DOWNEY FOR THE EXPENDITURE OF
NEIGHBORHOOD STABILIZATION PROGRAM FUNDS EXTENDING
CONTRACT TO SEPTEMBER 30, 2011:
Community Development.
5. ADOPTED RESOLUTION NO. 11- 291, A RESOLUTION OF THE DOWNEY
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION ADOPTING THE FISCAL YEAR
2011-12 BUDGET WITH IMPLEMENTING DOCUMENTS:
Finance.
